This collection contains historic records relating to the Seattle University Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership from 1975-1991; including core course syllabi, calendars, objectives, and major assignment descriptions; sub-core course seminar agendas; dissertation or project committees for the first fifteen classes; and photographs of student cohorts.

The School of Education was founded in 1935 and renamed the College of Education in July 2004. The collection contains historic accreditation reports, admissions brochures, and issues of the newsletter Banner for the years 1994-2008. The collection is not comprehensive or current.

Edwin Mortimer Standing (1887-1967) was the primary compiler of this collection that became the basis for the Montessori Teacher Training Program at Seattle University from 1968 to 1986. William J. Codd, SJ was the first director of the program.
