A.A. Lemieux, SJ served as the 15th president of Seattle University from 1948 until 1965, and also as Chancellor from 1976 until his death in 1979. Father Lemieux was recognized as a vibrant ambassador, civic leader, extraordinary fundraiser and one of the most successful presidents in Seattle University history. William J. Sullivan, SJ served as the 20th President of Seattle University from 1976-1996, and also as Chancellor from 1996-2009. Fr. Sullivan was one of the most successful administrators in Seattle University history, stabilizing finances, establishing an endowment, inaugurating new academic and professional programs (most notably the Law School), while transforming the physical campus. This collection contains records from his time as President (1976-1996) and Chancellor (1996-2009).
