Seattle University Class of 1950, 1950-1996
Scope and Contents
Series 1: Biographical Files and Scholarship contains correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, notes, and research created by or documenting the life of Dr. Bob Harmon. The earliest materials are from Harmon's years as a student at Olympia High School in Olympia, Washington in the early 1940s. Of particular note are two World War II-era scrapbooks created by Harmon during his service in the U.S. Army. This series also contains materials documenting Harmon's numerous trips to Germany between 1994 and 2015 at the invitation of the German government. During these visits, which coincided with the anniversary of the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp, Harmon and his fellow American soldiers were honored for their contributions to the liberation.
